The League of WonderGirls is a community of young women bridging the gap between themselves and young girls, teens, and other young women. Through workshops, mentorships, motivation talks and creative expression; they facilitate opportunities for personal development, insight and support to girls who need it.
Program Outline: The League of WonderGirls will consist of facilitated sessions on the following topics with the purpose of providing a venue where participants can “get together” in a “safe place” and talk with peers, ask questions, interact with mentors and get connected with the community.
Participants will also learn how to develop optimism, build healthy relationships, stimulate positive mental health, discover their own creative expression, find the positive, help them in transition, increase self-confidence, promote leadership skills, accept people’s differences and show care and concern for others.
Target Ages: 7-10, 11-15, 16-18, and 18+
After school program: 4:00pm-6:00pm (7-10, 11-15)
Evening program: 6:00pm-8:00pm (16-18, 18+)
No Cost – Supplies, snacks, and refreshments provided.
